Red Sea Alert Tour of Duty

This is a 5 missions TOD based on a hypothetical civil war in the West of Saudi Arabia during the Iran campaign. Ultra Islamic rebels supported by Sudan and the terrorist Ben Ladden try to take the power.

Created by Frej Leclercq

Pirates

Intercept pirate ships threatening commercial traffic in the Red Sea.

Traffic jam

Intercept a truck convoy heading to a rebels base near Jeddah.

Humiliation

Your base is surrounded by the rebels; you have to clear out before it's too late.

Revenge

Lead a retaliation strike against Sudan after the attack of your base.

Final Hit

You have the opportunity to eliminate Ben Ladden and the rebels leaders in their hidden base in Arabia.

Get Saddam

Saddam has had enough of War and is now on his way out of the country. Stop Him!!! Do not let him get away. Better Watch it though. Even with all the support you have it may not be enough to bring down what is left of Saddam's AF. To get through to him.

Drive In

A short A/A mission which includes the "Drive In" Easter Egg. Your task is to stop the incoming air threat from damaging the air base and Drive In. This is my first mission, it is short but for everyone that has heard about the Drive In but hasn't found it they may want to try it out. Have fun. This mission was created by Joe "Torx" D.

First Night

Tonight, Desert Shield turns into Desert Storm. Elements of the 4th Tactical Fighter Wing, the 335th TFS Chiefs and the 336th TFS Rockets, will participate in a "gorilla package" attack on designated targets deep inside of Iraq. This mission depicts Chevy flight's attack on fixed SCUD locations on the first night of the war. After months of planning, the process of ejecting Saddam Hussein and liberating Kuwait has begun in earnest.
This mission was taken from the actual events during the night of January 17, 1991. The book "Strike Eagle - Flying the F-15E in the Gulf War" by William L. Smallwood played a big part in defining this mission. For purposes of reality, all flight times, objects, and targets are to scale based on actual mission parameters. I hope you brought your seat cushion.

Change of Plans

You are performing an uneventful escort of an E-3 AWACS. However, when all is said and done the day will be anything but routine. And what will those orders be? Don't know...the day has yet to unfold.

The Tsunami Series

The Tsunami series of F-15 adventures is set in the year 2005. Iran and Iraq have formed a coalition aided and abetted by certain other powers intent upon taking advantage of the post cold-war peace. They hope to do this through development and proliferation of unconventional, hi-tech weaponry and mutually beneficial alliances.

Countries opposed to this de-stabilising scheme include The U.S., Britain Russia and some minor nations who feel threatened by the coalition. They have formed a semi-secret, unofficial organisation for The Suppression of Unconventional and Advanced Military Initiatives (TSUNAMI). Using donated equipment and/or material designated for other purposes and sometimes operating our of secret bases, they disrupt and frustrate the coalition's efforts, making these both costly and risky.

Tsunami missions attempt to create an atmosphere of excitement and challenge. For example, bases inside enemy territory may be used although it is debatable whether this is very realistic. It's a lot more fun than always taking off from the airfields in Saudi, however.

Gauntlet

The first in the TSUNAMI series (version 2: accommodates the F-15 patch). A long and complex mission in the geopolitical environment of 2005 AD. Expect lots of low level flying, enemy "scrambles", cat-and-mouse chases through mountain valleys, and tricky target approaches. A surprise visit by your Russian allies is a possibility. Longish briefing sets the stage. Skip to the mission details if you just want to get on with it. Avoid altogether if you prefer short missions: this one takes about 45 minutes. Prepared by Garth Klatt/Capt. "Max" Headroom.

The French Connection

Second TSUNAMI Mission - "The French Connection": France has been clandestinely supplying the Iran/Iraq axis with parts from their Ariane rocket program. Your assignment is to intercept a C-130 transport carrying a shipment of these components. Plenty of air-to-air action for your 3-ship flight plus the frustration of trying to find a moving target whose route you don't know for certain. Mountain flying, great scenery and knife-fights and ambush all the way. Moderate length mission. Prepared by Garth Klatt/Capt. "Max" Headroom

Thunderbolt

Third TSUNAMI Mission: "Thunderbolt" is flown out of the secret "Isengard" base inside Iran. Features a white-knuckle takeoff at 10,000 feet and some of the best scenery yet discovered. Mission comprises strike against a convoy headed for the unconventional weapons test range Southwest of Tehran. Intense A2A likely to develop as defenders scramble in reaction to your surprise appearance. Fast paced, fairly short mission. Prepared by Garth Klatt/Capt. "Max" Headroom.

Stagecoach

Fourth TSUNAMI Mission - "Stagecoach". Updated 17 July 1998 to accommodate effects of the Jane's patch. Following tricky takeoff at 10k ft., escort the Budweiser "Stagecoach" delivering an unwelcome package to the Iran/Iraq nuclear weapons test range. High-altitude dogfights and dramatic visuals in early evening light. Pull in behind the B52's prior to first waypoint and watch a beautiful aerial ballet as the secondary "Comet" escort merges with your flight. Prepared by Garth Klatt/Capt. "Max" Headroom.

Turkish Delight

TSUNAMI Mission: "Turkish Delight" (version 2). A long, complex mission involving two strikes inside Iraq. The primary is co-coordinated with a group of F117s. Mission involves an unusual refueling scenario plus an attempt by the Iraqi Defense Minister, Suliman Ish-Kabbibul, to flee the scene of one of his crimes by Winnebago and executive jet. Several A2A engagements likely en-route. Moderately difficult with lots of variety. Version 2 adds a debrief and improves "Bug Farm" action. Prepared by Garth Klatt/Capt. "Max" Headroom.

Pants Down

A short, violent mission in the TSUNAMI series with absolutely no ingress delay whatsoever. The Isengard base has come under surprise attack from IRANQCO, by air and ground. Difficult, fast paced mission placing high demands on your "situational awareness". And you have definitely got a "situation" here! Prepared by G. Klatt/Capt. "Max" Headroom.

By Dawns Early Light

This is a nuke bomber intercept with secondary CAS for an observer group. The action evolves with numerous exciting A2A encounters from 35K to down in the weeds. If you still have problems working your wingmen or taking full advantage of F-15 avionics, avoid this mission. Fuel and time management are critical. There is possibility of nuclear explosion sound effects if you install the included WAV file. Self-extracting file. Prepared by Capt. "Max" Headroom."
